I don't know about you but sometimes I look back at my life and wonder how in the world did I get here. As little girls we dream about what our future will hold. Lets just say I played my fair share of MASH games and they were ALL wrong, and I am totally ok with that!
So here is a little about me. I am a 5th grade teacher and absolutely LOVE what I do. Before becoming a teacher I was a youth pastor for 11 years and the switch from pastor to teacher was more difficult than I thought! I was used to being able to share my faith with any and everyone to having to be very careful of what I said to a student. It has been an awesome way to grow in ways that I can show the Saviors love through me without specifically giving an altar call.
I married the most amazing man (I know every happy wife says this but I truly got the most amazing one) in 2009 and shortly after found out we were expecting our first kiddo in November! (So much for our 2 year plan...thanks alot birth control). Boy am I glad that God had a different plan! Jackson has brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. I never knew the love of God like I did after I gave birth to a son!
We made a huge life transition when we resigned as youth pastors when Jackson was 2 and I decided to go into full time teaching. My heart broke through the process, but God knew exactly where we needed to be and what we needed to be doing. Leaving a church has to be one of the most difficult things I have ever done. It was like a part of us was dying. There was so much healing that needed to take place and God was working in our hearts.
I have been teaching for 4 years now and fall more in love with it everyday (even the really tough ones where you question every decision that you made that day)! We were blessed with a sidekick for our Super Jack in August of 2014. Jonah is loaded with personality in his little 1 year old body!
So this is a blog about us. Normal Americans that are trying to be the best that god created us to be! What life is really like in a household with 2 crazy boys, a goofy husband and a wife that wants nothing more than for her 3 musketeers to be insanely happy!
